The Hunter Will Come

 

"...because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" - 1 Peter 5:8

 

Hello little ones! Have you all seen a crane? Yes, it comes to the pond and the lake to eat fish. Have you seen how beautiful and magnificent a crane is? When it sees a fish, it immediately catches it and eats it. Today, shall we hear a crane story?

 

There were many cranes living on the banks of a beautiful river. A hunter came to catch the cranes. Thinking that all these cranes were his prey, he shot in the air with a gun. Hearing the sound of the gun, some cranes flew away quickly. But the cranes, who were eager for the fish, knowing the danger which was coming and were ignorant of it, fell victim to the hunter. A few cranes were in two minds as they had found good fish and also had to escape, fell to the ground. The hunter's servant gathered all the dead cranes and put them in a bag. Do you know what the hunter said then? Leave the dead ones, they are for us, catch those cranes that are beaten and half alive. That’s what they are trying to fly away, he said. All the cranes that were careful flew away and escaped.

 

In the same way, the hunter hunted the cranes every day. Look, my little ones! The devil makes us make many mistakes to trap us in his net. If we are careful, we can also escape. “I will look at my cell phone for a while. I'm telling a small lie, I'm just saying bad words”, if we are not careful, we would be caught in the devil's trap and become his slaves.

 

See, my little ones, if we realize the horror of sin, we can fly and escape from the devil's clutches. The devil doesn't care about those who are in sin without caring about holiness. They are like dead cranes! But his target is those who know it is sin but live with two minds. So if you want to be careful, pray to Jesus. Obey his word. O.K. Come let's close our eyes and pray where we are. Dear Jesus, please give me the grace to be careful not to fall into the trap of Satan. Give me a good heart that can obey your word, Jesus, Amen.
