First Step

 

"... as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap" - Joshua 3:13

 

After Moses, Joshua takes the responsibility of leading the people of Israel. Earlier, Jordan was overflowing its banks during the harvest season. God told Joshua, who was waiting at the feet of God, that as soon as the soles of the priests who carry the ark of the Lord are in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan would stand in a heap. He said that the first step should be placed in the waters of Jordan. Only then will it stop and give way. When we take the first step, God will be with us and make things happen. God is the one who makes things happen. But we must take the first step. We can only take the first step if we have courage and faith in God. The water on one side, the ark of the covenant on the other, there must have been a kind of fear in their hearts. But God said that the soles of our feet should be in the water. Only if we have faith and trust in the Lord can we take the first step. Our God is great and works wonders. But only if we act, He will work with us and do great things through us. Therefore, we do not have to hesitate to take the first step in what the Lord says in our lives. Let us put the burden on the Lord and take the first step. God will act from within us.

 

Beloved! When David saved the sheep from the lion and the bear, he did not even think that he would defeat Goliath. When he heard Goliath's roar, that was what gave him courage. Similarly, are you hesitant to take the first step in your life, work, or study? Do not hesitate. The Lord will be with you until the end of the world. Therefore, do not hesitate, take the first step with faith. God will give you victory in whatever you do, regardless of the times, circumstances, and your abilities, take the first step. The Almighty is with you. Isn't it the Lord who makes things possible? Take the first step and inherit victory.
