Uncontrolled Wild Donkey

"Who has sent the wild donkey free?..." - Job 39:5

When our domestic animals, such as goats, cows, and donkeys, are exposed to the wild, their very nature changes. Here we see a wild donkey roaming freely. We learn about it in verses Job 39: 5 - 8. They make us tremble. They make the desert their home and the salt marshes, which are useless to anyone, their abode. If they ever come into the city, they do not respect the noise of the city and the traffic signals. While reading this, don't we see before our eyes young men riding two-wheelers, not even seeing the traffic signals? Yes, many times we too are like these wild donkeys, like those who have been unleashed, fearing neither God nor man. In which way our legs takes us our minds behave and act in the same way

We miss the love in family relationships. We refuse to listen to the words of adults. Is it only the youth? No, no, it is all of us. The reason is, we refuse to obey anyone. We often act without self-control. Wild donkeys are strong, they can run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. But aimless running! We too can be such strong and talented people. But are our talents, energy, knowledge and power used for good deeds? Do we have activities for the good of the family and for social change? Does my talent help the development of the Kingdom of God?

Dear friend! Are we liking the wild donkey, living without obeying anyone's words? Think about it for a while. “If we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.” (1 Cor. 11:31). The Lord is merciful to us. “He has not done to us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.” (Psalm 103:10) Do not forget that. Let us not strive to live as wild donkeys but strive to live like donkeys that carry Jesus.

Let us humble ourselves before the Lord and entrust ourselves to the care of God to make us whole. “As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:11)
