Behold before your end 

“…he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.” - Luke 2:26 

A certain lady named Maria Dolores lived in Madeira Islands in Portugal. She was four months pregnant. Her family was struggling financially. She got dejected in life and felt that another baby would be an extra burden to her. So, she tried to terminate her pregnancy but she failed in her attempt. Infact God did not allow that to happen. Do you know the plan of God? In 1985 Maria was blessed with a baby boy. The godly woman felt guilty of her plan to abort the baby. She asked for forgiveness to God and then she named the baby Cristiano Ronaldo. This unwelcome baby Ronaldo has become the world’s star footballer and reached an elate level. His fashion of scoring goals is admirable. Being a native of Portugal, a small country, he became an outstanding figure in Asian and European countries. God has big plans for him to carry out.

In the second chapter of the gospel of Luke we find Simeon who was an extraordinary man. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. What an awesome message! What hopeful long life! He would not pass away, until the word of God was fulfilled. No one could take away his life. It was a safe condition for his end that was going to happen after beholding the birth of Lord’s Christ. The day came. Simeon took baby Jesus up in his arms and blessed God. According to the word of the Lord, he departed in peace. 

Beloved readers, the Lord has different plan and mission for each one us. He longs to accomplish His plan through us. So, we will be kept alive until His plans are carried out through us. Though we live in an unstable world with an un uncertain future, we need not get troubled. God has planned and He is waiting to execute something through us. So, we need to keep going relying on His promises, protection and guidance. We can see with our eyes how perfectly God fulfils His assured promises. We may be engulfed with fear, loss and pain. We need not be shaken on hearing bad news. Let our hearts be steadfast and secure trusting in the Lord. If we trust in God we can encounter and overcome all the troubles in the world and especially these pandemic covid-19 second wave.
