Crow
"The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening;.." - 1 Kings. 17:6
Every week I used to go to the village for work. One day, while I was sitting and having tea and vadai in a village, suddenly a crow flew down, picked up the vadai, and flew away. It sat on a tree and shared the vadai with two other crows. Then, while drinking tea, I thought about the crow.
This bird with five senses did not know that it was wrong to peck. But I thought that it had a good habit of sharing food. Although it is not colourful to look at, there are colourful things that we should learn from it. The crows get up early in the morning and sing joyfully praising the Lord. In the days of Elijah, there was no rain in the land, and there was famine everywhere. God tells Elijah to stay by the Cherith Brook. Elijah obeys and goes. We see in the Bible that the crow appointed by God brought him bread and meat every morning and bread and meat every evening. Morning is from 4:30 to 5:30. Because of its habit of getting up so early in the morning, God used the crow to feed Elijah. It was also a bird that could obey God's word. God expects us to also get up early and seek God and obey His word without question. We see in the Bible that "those who seek me early will find me" (Prov. 8:17). King David also said, “I will come to you in the morning, prepare myself, and wait.” (Psalm 5:3) .That is why David was considered worthy of the heart of God
Beloved! His grace is new every morning. Let us seek God early every morning to be filled with that new grace. Not only that but let us be obedient to the word of God like the crow. Everyone used by God is obedient to the word of God. Let us also wake up in the morning and have a relationship with God and obey the word of God. Let us be a vessel used by God.
