Wolves

 

"Beware of false prophets; ...but inwardly they are ravening wolves" - Matthew 7:15

 

Do you know what the Bible says about wolves? Wolves are fierce, they devour, they run fast, and they enter the flock. There are many places where wolves that bite their prey are mentioned. Do you know what the information provided by zoologistes is? They run at a speed of 50-60 kilometers per hour. They attack and kill their prey in groups. There are 38 types of wolves. Look, the above Bible references and other information clearly show that wolves are a vicious animal. John 10:12 talks about wolves that bite and scatter. The word "bite" can mean "wounding". Many people, without any weapons, hurt the poor with their words. We can see how they use this to make others feel weak. This action is nothing but the nature of a ravening wolf. The apostle James says that the tongue is a fire and full of deadly poison.

 

Let us not despise the poor and the needy, nor hurt them (bring them down) with a harsh word, but let us surrender our tongue to the Lord. In Habakkuk 1:8, the verse that says, “Among the evening wolves,” refers to the time when the dark power of Satan works in the evening. Yes, we know that the works of lust such as murder, theft, and adultery are most common in the dark. It is written that the wolf also goes out in the evening, seeking his prey, that is, in the evening when darkness falls. Like a wolf, the devil also walks around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Therefore, resist him and overcome the wicked one by the word of your testimony, and by the blood of the Lamb, trample him underfoot.

 

Beloved, what is the purpose of this vicious beast in the Bible? It is a warning to us who are unwise, dull-witted and foolish. Having made the Lord our God, we must stand firm until the end so that we do not slip! Be careful not to be idle. Be alert and pray. Look! He who has overcome the world is with us. Amen.
