Satisfied Whale

 

“(The sea) has ships in it; there are whales that you have made to play in it" - Psalm 104:26

 

Yes, the entire Psalm 104 explains to us how beautifully God has created His creations and how He watches over their activities. The birds, animals, the sun, the moon, the sea, the functions of each, the food for them, the habitats for birds and animals, all are bestowed by the Lord. Every creation has an importance, but whales take the place of honour. This is because the purpose for which they were created is to play in the sea!

 

We see the Lord as a father, mother, creator, saviour, and judge. But our Lord created a creature only to play happily. In the following verses, “They all wait for you to give them their food in due season. You give them, and they will receive it; you open your hand, and they will be satisfied with good.”

 

What is there to be surprised at! My friend, a whale’s meal weighs 3,500 kilograms. So how many whales are there in the ocean? If the Lord can feed all kinds of species and flocks, doesn’t the Lord know even your small needs? Brother, sister, what am I going to do this month? I have debt, what will I do with my daughter’s wedding, what will I do with the expenses? My child is going to go to college this year, how will my needs be met? Think about it. When bigger problems came into your life, the Lord took care of them. When you stumbled, He kept your feet from stumbling. When you were struggling, He carried you. Think about it and start thanking the Lord. The Lord who made whales to play, created us to praise and worship Him. The Lord who satisfies the whale will also satisfy and lead us, meet our needs, and make us take the rest. He will satisfy us with the finest wheat and honey from the rock. Do not be troubled by anything because the Lord who says I will feed you is with us. “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” (Psalm 90:14)
