The Speaking God

 

"The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty" - Psalm 29:4

 

A relative of mine who did not know the Lord met with an accident and was hospitalized. As soon as I heard the news, I prayed for him. I also told my prayer friends and asked them to pray. But the prayer was in vain. He died the next day. I wondered why God did not save him, since he died at such a young age. As I sat down to read the Bible as usual, God spoke to me through Genesis 4,5. He said, "I will avenge the blood of animals. I will avenge the blood of man, who was made in the image of God, on his brother." Later, when we looked back at the deceased man’s life, I found out that his brother had hanged his sister and killed her. I was amazed at how God speaks to us.

 

When we trust God, believe, and talk to Him, He is also the God who speaks to us. No matter what our situation is, He speaks to us. God does not look at our status and comfort, He looks at our hearts. In the days when Jesus was on earth, two blind men who were by the roadside, heard about Jesus and heard him passing by their place, and called out with faith. Immediately, the people following Jesus rebuked them. Jesus stopped and asked them to come and did not perform a miracle but asked them what they wanted Him to do for them. He knew all the thoughts of their hearts. He knew their condition. Yet, He spoke to them as He wanted to talk to them. When we seek Him and trust Him, He listens to our every word and answers it. Here these two blind men were sitting by the roadside begging. All the people would have thought them insignificant and passed by. They would not have listened to their words. But Jesus stopped His journey, spoke to them, touched them, and healed them.

 

Dear readers, do you think that there is no one who can hear our sorrow and see our tears, and also be abandoned and rejected by men? Do you think that there is no one to talk to us? The God who speaks even today is eager to hear what you say for yourself. Trust Him and talk to Him. He will speak to you. Hallelujah!
