Great Faith

 

"...great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt…" - Matthew 15:28

 

In 1960, a twenty-year-old black woman named Wilma Rudolph became the first black woman in the United States to win three gold medals at the Olympic Games. She also achieved success in the 100-meter and 400-meter races. Wilma, who was born with a very low birth weight, suffered from various diseases and was on the verge of death. Wilma's mother loved God and had great faith. The girl was treated with prayers. The doctors saved her life. Wilma's broken legs were said to be incurable. Her mother, who had faith and trust in God, had instilled faith in her daughter. Knowing that massage could cure her, her mother traveled 120 km every week to get treatment. She tried with the enthusiasm that God could heal her and that she could achieve something. She learned to stand on her feet in six months and walk with support in two years. Within a few years, she had learned to walk and run on her own with special shoes, and she turned the run she started that day into a world record-breaking run and won.. With perseverance and faith, she also experienced the power of God to fulfill shortcomings in her life.

 

In our meditation today, the Canaanite woman who met Jesus believed that He could heal her daughter's terrible pain. Accepting that "Jesus is the Son of David," she humbled herself and affirmed her firm faith that I have no right, but I have a share. Great is your faith, may it be done to you as you wish, and she received the praise of Jesus and the healing of her daughter, and her wish was fulfilled.

 

My dear friends! How is our faith? Let us trust God for all things, such as salvation, education, work, marriage. Let us trust Him. May He fulfill our desires according to His will and bless us!
