When will you be healthy?

 

"...Keep my judgments and do them, and you will live in peace in the land" - Leviticus 25:18

 

A naughty boy was sitting on a chair with one leg folded and the other swinging. Seeing this, an elderly person asked, "What are you doing sitting like this, brother?" The boy said to him, "Tell me what to do?" To which he said, "Study well." "Then," said the boy. "Go to work." The two did not want to stop talking, and the boy said, "Then what?" The elder continued. “Earn a lot of money, build a house, buy a car,” he continued, listing them in order. “Then?” the boy asked. “Then you can sit on a chair and swing your legs.” The boy smiled and said, “That’s what I’m doing right now.”

 

The boy’s words may be amusing or sad. But this is the reality of life that the world shows us to live comfortably. But do you know what the Bible says to be comfortable? Lev. 25:17,18,19 “You shall not oppress others. Fear God and walk justly according to the commandments of the Lord. Then you will live in peace in the land." Naomi, a widowed mother who had returned empty-handed from a foreign land because of a famine, said to her widowed daughter-in-law Ruth, "May God deal kindly with you as you have dealt kindly with the dead and with me. Go back to your own land." But Ruth said to her mother-in-law, "Your people will be my people, and your God my God," and clung to her. God blessed her. He filled all her needs. She married Boaz and gave birth to a son named Obed. She lived in peace in the land, receiving all kinds of blessings. Not only that, but she also became a great grandmother of the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

 

Yes, my beloved people, even today, our God wants you to live happily in the land. Hate evil against others, do good, and walk according to God's commandments. God will surely bless you. He will bless you with earthly, heavenly, and spiritual blessings, and will make you see all kinds of good things. You will not lack. Your barns will be filled. He will bless you and make you live happily just as he blessed Abraham, Jacob, and Ruth who went to a foreign land.
