World Record

 

"See if there is any painful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting path" - Psalm 139:24

 

In the 2007 athletics competition, Usain Bolt was disqualified from the competition because he tried to get up and run a few seconds earlier. Even if he had failed, it would not be bad, but he thought that he had been disqualified. Winning gold in the next competition was not enough to change this blame, but to set a world record and trained very hard. His doctor warned that if you train like this, you are more likely to have a heart attack. However, he set a world record in the next competition because of that intense training. No one could break that record for many years. The man who was disqualified for making a mistake set a world record through hard work.

 

In the Bible, while everyone was on the battlefield, David fell into the lust of his eyes while wandering in the wilderness. He could not feel the presence of God. He could not feel the presence of God. So he does not leave the presence of God, nor forsake God, but holds fast to Him and pleads with Him. We see his cry in Psalm 51. And in verse eleven he says, "Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me." He confesses his sin and begs for God's mercy. From the time I was conceived in my mother's womb, I have been a sinner, and you are holy, you who love holiness, purify me. Like David, we must go to him and confess our sins. He makes us feel that we have sinned. We should not blur the feeling, but consciously hold on to his feet so that he can wash and cleanse us. Because He is the Lord who sanctifies.

 

Children of God reading this, the people of this world may have rejected you because of the mistakes you have made. You may be lamenting that this is all, that my life is in vain. Hussain Bolt, if he had thought that he could not run because of the humiliation he suffered, he would not have set a world record. Similarly, it is normal for us as humans to sin, but we should not remain in it. God hates sin but loves sinners. Therefore, you do not have to sin. Confess your sin. He can forgive all your sins and add you to eternal life.
