Jealousy

 

"…envy the rottenness of the bones" - Proverbs 14:30

 

Malati's family is well-off. So there is no shortage of goods or money in their house. They did not have much in Ammu's house,Ammu's house, which is opposite to them. But Ammu would be jealous of the facilities in Malati's house. One day, a fire broke out in Malati's house and all the things burned to ashes. Ammu, who lived opposite, was listening to the song and felt happy, she thought that she would be standing on the street without a single penny. Malati received a small amount through insurance. When she dug the soil to build the house again, she found a treasure of gold coins. Malati's family regained their comfortable life. Jealous Ammu lived without peace. Look, jealousy made it impossible for her to enjoy her life happily.

 

In the Bible, Joseph was the son of Jacob and Rachel. God's plan for Joseph was very great. When Joseph revealed the dream he had, he was hated by his own brothers. His brothers became jealous of him. Because of this, they forced him and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. But because God had a plan for Joseph, he became a ruler over Egypt.

 

My dear friends! When we see the progress of neighbors, we should thank the Lord for it and be happy. Jealousy is like a cancer. It can take our lives little by little. This disease of jealousy can completely destroy us, moreover jealousy can take us to any height. Therefore, let us put away the disease of jealousy and join God with faith. Only God can help us to come out of the vicious jealousy that eats away at our hearts. So let us seek His help.
