Useful Journey

 

"Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot" - Acts 8:29

 

I travelled by train for the first time to minister in North India. At that time, I was worried about how many years it would take for me to learn the language, and minister. But, look, on that train journey, some people asked me, "Where and what are you going to do?" Even though I could not answer correctly, I said Jesus, Jesus as much as I could. Also, after finishing the train journey, I managed to say only one word, Jesus, to those who asked me questions, wherever I travelled, whether it was a bus or a rickshaw. Somehow, God showed me the grace to start my ministry on the train journey.

 

In the Bible, there is a wonderful incident written in the last part of Acts chapter 8. We see the Ethiopian eunuch traveling. Then we see the Holy Spirit quickening Philip. Philip obeyed and joined the eunuch's chariot and preached about the Lord Jesus Christ. The eunuch heard this and went to a place where there was water and was baptized. Then he returned to his country with joy. That journey turned out to be a worthwhile one.

 

Friends! We travel to so many places. No matter how many times the Holy Spirit pushes us to tell the person sitting next to us on the bus, we hesitate by thinking about how to start and how to speak, but before we know how to start, their stop comes. They will have gotten off. We have missed the opportunity. Think about it. How many people have we preached the gospel to on such journeys? When we travel, we carry something like a mobile phone, a notebook, or a notebook. From now on, let us decide to carry gospel books and tracts! While traveling, we will look at the people around us and tell them four verses that inspire hope. When we do this, the journey we make will be beneficial for us and others.
