Daily Devotion (English) – 13.11.2024 (Gospel Special)

 

"...Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?... Here am I! Send me" - Isaiah 6:8

 

A mother sent her eldest son to missionary work. She believed and prayed that her son would save the perishing souls. A news came that your son was beaten and eaten alive by the people of the area where he was ministering. The distraught mother called the next son and said, "Son, go to the area where your brother served and continue to serve." He also obeyed his mother's request and went to the area for ministry. A few months later a news came that your second son had also been killed. On hearing this news, the mother called her last son and sent her son to go and serve in the area where your brothers served. A few months later the news came that your third son was also killed. Hearing this, the mother cried and cried. You didn't cry like this when heard the news of the death of other sons, what happened now? When everyone asked, the mother said, "I didn't cry because I lost my sons in that area. Now I cry because I don't have a son to send to serve there."

 

Beloved! What is the extent of our spiritual burden? Look at the self-reliance of that mother who sent her sons to do ministry so that the ministry would not stop even if her children died one after the other.

 

 But in today's age this spiritual burden is not there. Why do church pastors and ministers think that their children should be educated and sent abroad to become doctors and engineers? When asked that who will look after the church ministry after you, we have to appoint someone else. How can we expect from believers when there are pastors without spiritual burden like this? We found Jesus because many missionaries came here with the same spiritual burden. Only if we act with that spiritual burden will the evangelical lamp not go out.

 

People of faith reading this! If we have spiritual burden, it will be passed on to our children. Without self-reliance, our ministry is useless. We will also feed our children with spiritual burden and send them to ministry. May our children also receive heavenly rewards. May the Lord bless you!
