Father

 

"In the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place" - Deuteronomy 1:31

 

A father went on a tour with his son for a holiday. After walking around the streets for shopping with his son and buying what he needed, they went out of town and started enjoying the nature. The son looked at the cloud and admired it as a dinosaur and sheep. Then they saw a small hill and started climbing it. He suddenly turned around and said, "Daddy catch me" and fell down with outstretched hand. Unexpectedly, the father ran and caught his son. But both fell down. Father asked, “why did you do this?” Immediately the son said I know you will catch me anyway. He walked up saying that there is no blow.

 

So is our heavenly God, in whom we can fully trust. Yes, He knows our needs and circumstances. So, he will give the benefits at the right time. We love our children. But God loved us while we were still sinners and gave His life for us. As a father carries his child on his shoulders, so our God carries us. Till gray age will I bear you; I used to do that; Isaiah 46:4 says, "I will bear, I will carry, I will save." Likewise, even when we reach the brink of death, His hand lifts us up and keeps us away from death. He protects us like the apple of his eye. Protects day and night. Similarly, he protected the people of Israel for forty years in the wilderness. Their clothes did not grow old, and the shoes on their feet do not grow old. Thus, God was protecting him well.

 

Friend reading this! God has given us the gospel of the Son whom we can calls as Abba, Father. So, when we who have faith in His name accept Him as Father, He also accepts us as His child. Not only accepting, but from then on, he will accept all our affairs with care and concern for us. He meets our needs and is sufficient for us. He will guide us till we join him in heaven.
