How is the decision?

 

"But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…” - Daniel 1:8

 

Beloved children of God, a monkey ate the fruit of a tree in the wilderness. A few hours later, the monkey had diarrhea and became alarmingly miserable. Then it made a decision. I will not come this side. I will not eat this fruit either. A few days passed. The monkey thought, What if the monkey goes that way? What if I eat a little of that fruit? Thinking that, he ate some of that fruit. It had no effect. I would have eaten something else that day and eaten this fruit too. He ate it saying that he will only eat this fruit today. What happened? Within a few hours, the diarrhea worsened and the monkey died. Because it was a poisonous fruit.

 

Here a Moabite woman named Ruth made a decision. In Ruth 1:14 - 17 she made a decision to come with her mother-in-law who had lost everything. That decision was not to talk about going back. She said that the place where you stay is my shelter, your people are now my people, your God is now my God, nothing but death will separate me. She lived by her resolution. She had a prosperous life. In Mark 13:13, “He that shall stand to the end shall be saved”.

 

 Dear children of God, the decision we have made in our spiritual life is where it stands today. Is it strong? Is it weakened? Like a roaring lion, Satan the Devil circles around us like a hawk every day. Like the monkey, the initial decision was confirmed. Does resolution become weaker over time? The end made it miserable. But Ruth's resolve was unwavering from beginning to end. Are each of us determined today? Of course, Jesus Christ will bring us great benefits. If a given service, job, business or family is done according to the Lord's decision, success is certain and liberation is true. To God be the glory. Amen.
