The bridegroom has arrived

 

"And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came;…" - Matthew 25:10

 

When going to a job interview, preparation is necessary. It is very important to carry various files like education proofs, photocopies, identity card etc. And if you want to meet an important person, even if you cannot contact that person directly, it is customary to contact the people below them, and still prepare by listing everything such as place, time, and duration to meet that person. This is the preparatory work that normally takes place in the world. Similarly, one day we will surely meet the God who created the heavens and the earth by His word.

 

In the Scriptures there were two kinds of people ready to meet the bridegroom. 5 people in the group are intelligent and other 5 are not intelligent. The wise took oil in their vessels along with their matches. Those without intelligence took only their matches and left. They did not carry oil. Here comes the bridegroom in the middle of the night. There was a noise to face him and leave. At that time the foolish said to the wise, give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. The wise told them to go and buy them from those who sell them. So, those who were ready entered the marriage house.

 

Beloved! Who are we like, in these two kinds of gatherings? If we are ready and holy, we will go with the bridegroom. Or put off the holiness until tomorrow saying, do you know who I am? I am a believer for 50 years, I am a minister or pastor, I am one who donates to the Church, I hold a great position in the Church and I cannot be prepared. But only if we are holy can we go with the bridegroom when he comes. So let's keep us holy every day. Let's go to heaven with the Holy One. Alleluia!
