"Look at the birds of the air,... yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?..." - Math. 6:26

 

Rajan lived in a forest area with his family, outside the town. Family needs can be bought only by coming into town. He earned his livelihood by cutting trees there and selling them. Beautiful sparrows nested and lived happily. These sparrows rise early and praise God in their own languages. The Rajan family wakes up hearing the sound of these sparrows. Every day they enjoyed watching the mother sparrows go out foraging during the day and feed their chicks at dusk.

 

One day there was rain in that forest with terrible wind. All the sparrows' nests are gone. Not being able to go out anywhere. Rajan could not cut a tree either. The worry of what we are going to do for the next day has come. The next morning, Rajan sat anxiously in his backyard with both hands on his cheeks. Then the sparrows flew and sang happily as always. Immediately Rajan had a doubt. These sparrows don't even have a nest. No food to eat. He wondered how they were so happy. Lord Jesus nourishes and cares for them even in this rainy season. Am I not, more special than they? So the Lord who feeds these little sparrows will not feed me? He entered the house with faith, thinking that he was a fool even after knowing the Scriprures.

 

Dear brother-sister, aren't you also worried about your family affairs? Can worrying add a cubit to the body? Whenever you feel anxious, look at the birds flying in the sky. Look at the blooming flowers. He who dresses them beautifully and feeds them will treat you well, don't worry. Are you lamenting that you can't read and have no memory? Ask Jesus in faith and he will give you everything.
