The potter's hand

 

"…I am like a broken vessel" - Psalm 31:12

 

In Japan, if their children unknowingly break expensive glass and earthenware on the floor, they do not scold the children or throw the broken pieces in the trash. Each broken piece is carefully picked up and taken to an artist who re-glues the broken pots into fine artefacts like the originals. This art is called "Kintsuki". The artist re-lacquers the broken pot, pastes and brings to old shape, fills the lacquered areas with some kind of powder, and pastes it like the original. Glued pots are more beautiful and more valuable than ever. They keep the pot in a very special place in their house.

 

In Jeremiah chapter 18 a vessel in the potter's hand was spoiled. The potter made the pot into another new pot. My dear children of God who are reading this today, you may feel that my life is over. My marriage has broken down, I'm stuck without the expected marks in my studies, I've tried many times for government jobs and foreign jobs, and I'm left broke. What is my future? Can I live anymore? Can I rise in life? That may be with a broken heart, tears in the eyes, and a heavy heart. Don't worry, surrender yourselves to the hands of the Supreme Lord.

 

Dear Gods child who is reading this! Entqqrust your life in God's hands. A broken object in the hands of the artist 'Kintsuki' turned into a very beautiful, precious and useful object. In the same way, when we entrust our broken lives into the hands of the Supreme Father, He will make them beautiful and put us in the highest shelter. So don't worry, don't delay, go earnestly to God and dedicate your life. Try praying, "Lord, I'm broken. No man can fix my life, not even me. Only You can do it. Surrender yourself." You will see the miracle.
