Victory

 

"Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us [a]diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place" - 2 Corinthians 2:14

 

To a prince who had lost a battle, the victorious emperor imposed a condition. The condition was that a prince who lost a battle would be released if he carried a cup full of water in his hand, carried it without spilling a drop, and handed it to the emperor a mile away.

 

If a drop of water spilled as the prince walked carrying the cup, there two servants followed him to cut him with swords. But along the way the emperor had stopped a crowd to cheer the prince and a crowd to scold him. But the prince, did not look to the right or to the left, kept his full attention on the cup and in the end earned his freedom. He looked at the prince and asked, "What is the reason for your success?" He said, I paid no heed to those who praised me, and paid no heed to those who scolded me. My mind was on the water in the cup. He said that I was very, very careful.

 

In the scriptures, our Lord Jesus Christ is the one who took any praise and scorn in his life equally. His entire focus is on doing the Father's will! That is why even though one group sought to make him king and another group sought to kill him, he lived clearly saying that my kingdom does not belong to this world and fulfilled God's will.

 

Beloved, many failures, slips, shames and humiliations will come in our life. We should continue to travel with courage and not get tired of them. Even if the devil brings many obstacles to bring us down and then change, to reject Jesus, we must overcome it in the name of Jesus Christ. Let all our attention be on Jesus Christ who is victorious on the cross without paying attention to anyone's ridicule and mockery with the thought that I am a child of Jesus I am washed by the blood of Jesus. Put Jesus first and victory is yours. Amen! Amen! Amen!
