Be careful not to mingle

 

"…I am the LORD your God, who has separated you from the peoples" - Leviticus 20:24

 

A frog and a mouse were friends in a forest. Their friendship was so deep. That taking a rope and tying a frog on one side and a mouse on the other side and walking around the world! The rainy season came. All the ponds in the forest were full. When the frog saw the water, it forgot its friend and jumped into the pool and swam around. But the condition of the rat tied on the other side was pitiful. Suffocated and eventually died. When a hawk found a dead mouse and picked it up, the frog also became its food. This is the result of inappropriate friendships.

 

Although we live in this world, we are not of this world, we are separated. When we are washed by the blood of Jesus, we leave the world and have to come into a separated life. The Lord brought us into his resolve, into his love, without giving up on living anyway. We as God's people are called to live a separate life for the glory of His name.

 

In today's scripture passage, we read another separation that the Lord made in the life of Abraham. Of which he separates, at first from his nation, the second from his race, the third from his father's house. What is the reason for this? That society may taint him. So he says you must come out of the land of Babylon as a separate one. God's children must not conform to the world. Daniel and Joseph lived separate lives and received the blessings of the Lord.

 

Beloved children of God! You who are reading this are also chosen by God. In these days in which we live, there are many things around us that can stain the soul. The Lord wants to see a different life in us so that we don't get caught in the strange things, devil's traps, illusions etc. that are found in this society. As those who realize this, let us dedicate our lives today with tears to live as witnesses for Jesus. Let's get ready to receive God's blessings.
