Wesley's Prayer

 

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” -1 John 1:9

 

What kids! Sunday is a happiest day. You love listening to the Story every week! Can we hear a true story of a thief changing his mind? John Wesley often travels abroad for ministry. One day he was returning home after doing ministry. At night when there was no traffic, a thief pointed a knife at him and threatened him to hand over the money he had. John Wesley immediately gave away the little money he had. Then John Wesley said, "One day you will regret doing this; then, come to Jesus, and He will forgive your sins and give you new life." The thief also thought it was a profit as long as he got it and left without answering anything.

 

John Wesley was praying for the thief. The thief, who was constantly doing that theft, was sleeping one night suddenly he woke up startled by the cries of many people and their curses. Then he couldn't sleep. He thought that I do not deserve to live if I do such theft and make many people shed tears. It was then that the words of John Wesley rang in his heart. The words "Come to Jesus and He will forgive your sins" echoed. Immediately he himself cried out to Jesus forgive my sin. Broken-hearted began to tell Jesus about his sins one by one. Happiness filled his mind in a short time! He started going to the church. He ran a small shop with the help of friends. He attended a meeting where John Wesley spoke and met him. He was pleased with the way the Lord had touched him. John Wesley praised God that my prayer is not in vain.

 

Did you see, children? This is repentance. Just as John Wesley's prayer was responsible for the thief's conversion, your prayer will bring many to Christ. Do you forget to pray? Do not forget. Okay.
