Unquestioning obedience

 

"…Noah did; according to all that God commanded..." - Gen. 6:22

 

Many years ago a wealthy man advertised for a job vacancy. Many young people came after seeing the ad. They did the work he said for two days. The next day people stopped coming. In the end only one young man came to work. The rich man told him to take the pebbles lying there and dump them at a distance. The next day he asked him to come and put it where it was already. This went on for a whole week. He said Sunday is your holiday. He also handed over a week's wages.

 

He wasn't expecting the teenager on Monday. But he came to work on Monday morning at the appointed time. Why? why As he obeyed his master's order without any question, he gave the youth a high job befitting his education and skill. He appointed him to look after several lakhs of account cases and entrusted him with important responsibilities to maintain secrecy. He was the personal assistant of his family as long as he lived.

 

Because of the increase of sin on earth, God wants to destroy the world and talks to a man of God named Noah. It will continue to rain. Make an ark to protect yourself and your family from that destruction. It is not known whether the rain fell on the earth before that. But what is it? Why? How? Without asking any questions, Noah made the ark according to the Lord's instructions without adding or missing an inch. His family was saved from destruction.

 

Next, God told Abraham to take the child born at the age of 100 to Mount Moriah and sacrifice it. Abraham, who obeyed the word of the Lord, did not even tell his wife, thinking that if he told her, she would cry and stop him, he gathered two of the servants and left early in the morning. Seeing his unquestioning obedience, the Lord made Abraham a blessing to the whole world. Similarly, when we obey the Lord's voice without asking questions, the Lord will lift us up. If the Lord tells us to go to a place, if we go without question, the Lord will do miracles through us and do the things that need to be done through us.
