Benefits of submission

 

"Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time" - 1 Peter 5:6

 

 A monkey went to a man asking for a job and said, "I will do whatever job you give me." Immediately the man said to the monkey, "Keep it till I come out of the bath and gave him a banana. Then when I cone after bath will give you a good job" and went to the bath. The monkey got tired of waiting and waiting for the one who left to come back. Aren't monkeys very fond of bananas? Since he was late, she peeled the banana, ate it and ran away saying that he didn't want to do anything.

 

Jesus Christ is also able to give us many blessings such as goodness, comfort, excellence, elevation and many more. But His command is that we should submit ourselves onto His strong hand and be patient until He gives it. But most people don't wait until they get it, but quit like the monkey in hurry.

 

We see the people of Israel perishing under God's wrath. When did God allow the people of Israel into the hands of strangers? It is because they disobeyed God's word through his prophets! If we want to please God, we must not forget to tame all our body parts. The people of Israel were destroyed by the words of their mouths.

 

Jeremiah 14:10 says that the Lord says that they want to wander without restraining their feet. Therefore, he said, I will remember their iniquity and inquire about their sins.

 

Agar, who had to be restrained, was incontinent, and Sarah had to treat her hard. So Hagar started running. But the angel saw her and said to her, return to your master and rest under her hand. But as she did not relent till the end, she and her child were chased away.

 

My dear children of God! What things do you do according to your own will and not according to God's will? It shows incontinence. The condition of incontinenc is as miserable as that of Agar. Therefore, we will be contained in God's strong hand and inherit the benefits. Amen!
