Changing things

 

"…we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,.." - Romans 8:28

 

We see that the Jews who escaped the destruction in the kingdom of King Ahasuerus. Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, who escaped the fiery furnace without damage, Daniel who escaped the mouth of lions. King Hezekiah, whose death was predicted through Isaiah and 15 years added to his life, ended for the better, it is natural that we want our affairs to end in the way we want. But let us see what the scriptures teach us about this.

 

First, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14) It was God's will that the Jews should be saved without destruction. But Esther, her nurses, and all the Jews were required to fast and pray for three days. The zeal and faith that Daniel and his friends had in God made their work successful so that God's name would be glorified in Babylon through them. King Hezekiah's tearful plea changed Isaiah's prophecy.

 

Beloved! If God wills, our prayer with fasting and tears will make our affairs come to an end. When we live as zealous Christians for God the weapons formed against us will fail and those who oppose us will come to us. At the same time, even if our affairs do not turn out the way we want, God will give us the strength to overcome any unpleasant situation. We need unwavering faith in the truth that all things work together for good to those who love Him. It is also very important to make sure that we are those who love Him. If we have these, our Christian life will be as firm in all circumstances as a house founded on rock. Amen.
