Junior Jesus 

“…he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do…” – John 14:12

O.P. Sharma was a native of Uttar Pradesh. Right from the age of seven, he strived hard and concentrated on learning the black art, magic. After a long struggle and practice he became an expert in performing magic and he set up magic shows. His shows earned him fame in North India. His son, Sathiya Prakash is a Mechanical engineer but he practises and performs the magic following his father. He has been performing it exactly like his father in all aspects namely- his facial expressions, gestures, laughter and lively talk. He adds charm to his performance with modern technology. On the whole he imitates his father and he has the likeness of his father. Thus, he is called Junior O.P. Sharma.

The Lord God has predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to himself. It is not enough if we believe in Jesus. We must be conformed to the image of Jesus. He took the form of a bond servant and came in the likeness of men to give salvation to us. The Bible teaches us that if we believe in Him, we will be able to do the works that he did. We may have different desires and aspirations in our hearts. But our Heavenly Father’s desires must remain at the forefront of everything. We can give up our will to do His will. Then only we can do the works He did. 

Dear friends, we have been called to live as the reflection of Christ. The whole world is watching as keenly. If we live as God’s children, the world will come to know Jesus. Before preaching the gospel, let our lives be the gospel. If we are the imitators of God, we can turn the world towards Jesus Christ. By accepting every one and meeting the physical, mental and spiritual needs of the people as Jesus did, we can become more like Jesus. This is how we have to proclaim the gospel. Let us follow Jesus and put on the Lord Jesus Christ.
