You shall recover all 

“And nothing of theirs was lacking…David recovered all.” – 1Samuel 30:19 

50,00,000 tons of water flows over Niagara Falls every second. On March 20, 1848, just before midnight Niagara Falls ceased to flow. Millions of tons of ice became lodged at the mouth of the Niagara river at Lake Erie, blocking the channel completely. The self-made dam held the water for 30 hours until the ice dam broke apart and then the river flow returned to its normal rate.

In the book of 1Samuel 30th chapter, we read that the Amalekites had invaded Ziklag and attacked and burnt it with fire and had taken the captive the women and those who were there from small to great. They carried them and went their way. David was greatly distressed as he had lost everything. At this juncture David inquired the Lord saying “Shall I pursue the troop? and shall I overtake him?” God answered “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 

Dear readers, The Lord God only created Niagara Falls and He only makes water flow from it and He is the one who stops the water from flowing over. Thus, God is in control. David was made by God and what all he owned belonged to the all-powerful God. Sometimes something may happen quite unexpectedly and contrary to our plans. We need not get distressed by the common coincident happen in our lives. Have you lost your health, wealth, name and fame? No, never. The Lord who made the water cease to flow and then let it flow as usual can-do greater things. When David who lost everything could recover all without fail, we are sure to reclaim what we had lost with God’s help.
