Daily Devotion (English) – 11.04.2021 (Kids Special)

King of his home 

“… always ought to pray and not lose heart,” – Luke 18:1 

That village was small but beautiful. Wherever you looked you could see fluffy cotton floating everywhere in the air just like clouds moving in the sky. In the fields chilli plants were adorned with clusters of green and red chillies. Raja, a little lad lived with his parents in that village. Raja was a happy-go-lucky boy. His parents made a vow to God and received him as a gift from God after many years. As his name suggested, he was brought up as a prince. He was pampered by his parents. He became a minion of all the villagers. As he grew up, he became obstinate and wicked. He was an addict to alcohol and narcotic drugs. He was enslaved by many sinful deeds. Disregarding the age of the people, he quarreled with anyone. He even dared to murder them. This was how he led a wicked life.

He was a youth now but he could not abstain from his addiction. His parents were in agony. He was incorrigible. His mother made tearful prayer to God for his transformation. God heard her prayers and one night he was touched by God. From that night onwards he had a conflict in his mind. There arose so many questions such as, “Why should I be an addict? Why should I live a sinful life?” Feeling guilty for his sins, he submitted himself to God. He moved to another country for work. He went to church regularly. He was filled exceedingly with divine love. Abounding in God’s love, he could not remain idle. Like a lunatic he gave up food and sleep and his craving for proclaiming the gospel at least to one person per day increased day by day. Though he came from work exhausted, he could not rest a while. He had the inner urge to search for the needy and to share the gospel with them. At present he quitted his job and doing ministry with dedication as a full time missionary.

Dear little kids, suppose, someone in your family leads such sinful life, you keep on praying to God for their transformation. Jesus Christ is always ready to change their life.
