Triple words

“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore. Amen.” – Revelation 1:18

In the year 1943, Hitler, a dictator of Germany besieged and captured most part of Russia. The Russians could not retaliate their attack. As Russia is a communist country, the churches were either pulled down or locked. Only one church was kept open. It was the day of Easter. There was an overflow of crowd in the church. The pastor was preaching with enthusiasm. The believers were flooded with joy. But the pastor was arrested in the early hours. Before he was leaving the church, he asked the officer for permission to say just three words. After much hesitation with authority, the officer said, “Ok, only three words.” Do you know what those three words were? He said, “Jesus is alive, Hallelujah!” As soon as he finished saying this, the congregation and the whole gathering repeated those three words aloud and their faith was strengthened and fortified.

Jesus Christ lived on Earth about 33 ½ years. He ministered for 3 ½ years. He died for us on the cross and was laid in a tomb. His disciples were frightened and did not know what to do without Jesus. As they feared for their life, they assembled in a room and shut the door. Jesus came and stood in the midst and said, “Peace to you.” He showed himself alive to His disciples and many others for 40 days. Before his ascension to Heaven, He assured to them, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” He is the living God who dwells in us. 

Beloved in Christ, brooding over the problems and troubles in our life, are we worried and in fear? Do we think that we are forsaken and without any help? We need not grow wearied. Our Lord is powerful to give a new beginning to our life as He is the living God. So, we can give ourselves a fresh start. We can pour out all our problems to our living God Jesus Christ and receive deliverance. He will bless and exalt us. Amen.
