Miracle 

“…Jesus…went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” – Acts 10:38

A lady was living in Srilanka. Suddenly she had some problem in her legs and she was not able to walk for six months. Her mother took her to a church. The man of God prayed with faith for her. At once the lady screamed loudly saying, “My legs are burning, burning.” After he had prayed, he made her walk holding her hand and said that God would perform a miracle. What an astonishment! The lady gave a testimony. She said, “I could not even take a single step for the past six months. It is a miracle that I am able to walk in the name of Jesus.” 

When we look into the third chapter of the book of Acts in the Bible, we find a man who was born lame. His parents might have grieved to see him because their 40-year-old son had to be carried to the gate of the temple. They made him lay at the gate for begging.

Peter and John were making their way together up into the temple. The lame man asked them for a gift. Peter and John took a good look at the man and asked the man to look at them. He gave them his attention. Peter said, “I do not have any gold or silver; but I do have something to give you.” Peter holding his hand said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and ankles were given strength and he began to walk.

Yes, dear ones, the name our Lord Jesus Christ is not an ordinary name. Jesus is the name above every name. At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth. The name of Jesus is so powerful that when we pray in the name of Jesus miracles take place. If we pray for the sick people in the name of Jesus, wonders happen. Once they receive miracles, no one can stop them from going to church. Thus, we can win souls for Christ. So, whenever we are given an opportunity to pray for the sick, we must pray with faith and authority and in the name of Jesus. They will be healed and accept Jesus as their saviour and be His followers.
