God’s will 

“…for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing. But if it is of God, you cannot over throw it.” – Acts 5: 38, 39

Magima was a young girl of marriageable age. Her parents had asked their friends and well-wishers to help them find a suitable life partner for Magima.  As Magima had accepted Jesus as her saviour, she began to pray for her future. Although they received many proposals, for one reason or another they could not proceed successfully. As her marriage was delayed due to some obstacles Magima was little bit upset and discouraged. One day she shared her burden with one of her spiritual sisters. She gave her good counselling and asked her to pray for the manifestation of God’s will. So, she prayed saying, “Dear Lord, it is not my desire and it is not my parents’ wish. I wait for your will to be done in my marriage.” Magima kept on praying relying on God. Soon they found the bridegroom given by God and the marriage went off perfectly well without any want. Magima was exceedingly happy and she thanked the Lord almighty for His blessings. 

Sometimes in our lives we face a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives and we are perplexed not knowing which one to choose. We get wearied when we encounter unfavorable circumstances. Why don’t we pray like Magima? We are eminent if God’s will be done in our lives no matter if we have to go through trials or receive blessings. Are we baffled by some problems? Let us cast our burden upon the Lord and wait for His will and desire. If any work is of men it will come to nothing. If it is God’s work, no one can prevent it. If we wait upon the Lord in all circumstances, we will be successful in our endeavors. In Joseph’s life all the events were unfavorable and adverse to him. But as he relied totally on God with fear, he was able to fulfil the will of God. Now let us also commit our ways to the Lord and trust in Him and He shall bring it to pass and lead us holding our right hand.
