Setting the accounts 

“The Lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.” - Matthew 25:19

The companies have an obligation to submit their financial statement to the government at the end of March every year. Even worldly companies give an account of the amount spent by them, no matter how big or small it is. The details should be listed and filed. We should never forget that our heavenly master will ask us to give an account of ourselves for the good things we had received from Him. Let us see in what matters we have to settle the account with God.

Account of myself: - Romans 14:12 says, “So each of us shall give account of himself to God.” We are accountable for our own life. Do our testimony lead others towards Christ? or do we act as a stumbling block without witnessing for Jesus? Only those who are with Christ in life are Christians. Are you a namesake Christian? Just think over whether your life is a good example to others and winning souls for Christ?

Account of my words: - We read in Matthew 12:36 “I say to you that for every idle word man may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgement “Just think what type of words we utter right from morning till night. Are they idle words or useful and pleasing to the hearers? Apostle Paul says, “What is good for necessary edification that it may impart grace to the hearers.” 

Account of my talents: - It is written in Luke 16:2 “Give an account of your stewardship.” According to the word of God, we must use the gifts and talents given by God in our lives for the glory of His name. No one can say that I am devoid of talent and I am not gifted. God has blessed each one of us with a natural ability to be good at something. He has gifted us with skills and talents. Even time and money are given to us by Him. Let us make use of them for the glory of His name.
