Daily Devotion (English) – 18.07.2021 (Kids Special)

God speaks 

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” - Matthew 5:8

Hai, little ones, how are you all? You may have elder brothers or sisters if not little brother or sister, haven’t you? There will be lots of fun, laughter roughhousing and play fighting. If there are no children that house will be calm and quiet. Seeing other children, Aunty Hannah grieved a lot as she had no children of her own to play about and give her joy. One day she went to the house of the Lord and prayed desperately with tears. She prayed and made a vow that if the Lord granted her petition and gave a boy baby, she would dedicate him to the Lord all the days of his life. After praying, her face was not sad and she did not worry about being children. 

The Lord blessed them with the boy baby. Hannah and her husband Elkanah loved the baby dearly. They named their darling baby Samuel. Samuel grew and began to walk and run. The child was young but Hannah took him up with her to the house of the Lord in Shiloh. Samuel was just a boy when he was dedicated to the Lord. Old Eli, the high priest look care of him as his own son. He served in the temple and ministered before Eli. Samuel could clean the doors and windows and keep them open, spread the mats and light the lamps. One night, while Samuel was lying down, the Lord called Samuel. He ran to Eli and said, “Here I am for you called me.” Eli said that he did not call him and so he asked him to lie down. Second time also Samuel heard someone calling him but Eli told him to lie down as he did not call him. Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy. So, he said to Samuel, “If He calls you, you must say, Speak Lord, your servant is here.” The Lord came and stood and called “Samuel, Samuel” third time. He said, “Speak for your servant is here.” The Lord spoke to him about what he was going to do in Israel and what would happen in Eli’s family.

Dear little ones, do you wish Jesus to speak to you? We can also hear the voice of God. Do you know when we can hear what He says? When we are holy and pleasing to people and the Lord, we can hear the voice of God. Ok.
