A God Who Does Not Forget Among the Forgetful
"Can a woman forget her nursing child? Even if they forget, I will not forget you" - Isaiah 49:15
Beloved! Greetings of love. Since he was a child, Dilip has been enthusiastic about being kind to others and always helped his friends. That is why everyone in the village knows him. Even while studying in school, he is good at helping the needy students. Dilip, who completed his schooling in the village, had scored good marks in his final year. That is why he had to go abroad for higher education. The people of the village were worried about him going abroad. However, he was forced to go abroad to study, so he went. After many years, he completed his studies and returned to his village. The villagers had forgotten him. Dilip was surprised.
Yes, beloved! In this way, those who love us and those who like us will one day forget us. But God who created us will never forget us. Even in the Bible, in Gen. 40:23, we see that the chief cupbearer forgot Joseph. But God remembered Joseph and changed his captivity. Here we see that the chief forgot Joseph who was humiliated. When the prophet Samuel came to the feast that was prepared at Jesse's house, Jesse had invited all his children. But his own father forgot his youngest son, David, who went to the forest to tend the sheep. Similarly, in Job 19:14, we see that Job's friends forgot him. That is, his friends forgot Job who was sick. But God remembered Job and changed his captivity.
Yes, beloved! When we are sick, when we are humiliated, when we are oppressed, people, friends, and relatives may forget us. But the Lord never forgets us. Therefore, it is better for us to be attached to the Lord than to trust in man. And the Lord has said about us in Isaiah 44:21, “Israel, you are not forgotten by me.” Let us trust in God! Let us rise in life!
