TRY TEARS

"Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy" - Psalm 126:5

The great ministry movement called the Salvation Army was started by William Booth and spread to many countries. God did great things by gathering a great multitude of people into churches. A missionary who was very dedicated to this ministry was sent to minister among the hard-hearted people. Some years passed. None of those people were converted. He ministered there with great sacrifice and suffering, but to no avail. He became very discouraged. He wrote a letter to William Booth. In it, he wrote, "I have been ministering here for four years. I have not seen any change. My son also died since I came here. My wife and I were only there to bury him. No one has come. I feel like I am wasting my time. Not a soul has repented, and I have not seen any benefit. I want to come back." He had expected him to send a letter saying from William Booth saying "Okay, come and back." But Booth had written only two words (TRY TEARS) "Try with tears." The minister who read this was heartbroken and cried and prayed for the people. Many hard-hearted people were saved. God helped him to establish 100 churches in that land through him, who was worried that not a single soul was left. When the prophet Ezekiel wrote in his book, he saw a vision of angels putting a mark on the foreheads of the people who were sighing and weeping for the people of the land and praying to God. God expects people who cry and pray with tears. In this part of the Bible, He identifies His people who cry with tears for the injustices happening in His country, for the unbearable sins, and for the repentance of the people. They are assured of God's protection. God is angry with those who do not pray despite the injustice of the country.

Dear friends! The prayer of tears is very powerful. Perhaps you have prayed for the salvation of an individual person, a family, or a country and have become tired of not seeing any change? (TRY TEARS) Try with tears. God has counted our tears. He will give us the appropriate result. Amen.
