SHINNING STAR

Sunday is a day of joy. Are you happy and joyful? O.k. Let's hear a true story with that joy? There were two children in a Christian family in England. John Tucker and Sarah Tucker. This Sarah Tucker could not run, play, or go to school like other children. She would sit in a wheelchair. She did education at home. Her parents would take her to church only in a wheelchair. When Sarah Tucker was 20 years old, John Tucker would also have grown up! He came to work as a missionary in the Palayamkottai area of India. There were no phones back then. You always have a phone in your hand. That too during holidays, I don't feel like putting down the phone, that's how it is, right. Do you know how many children have lost their eyesight because of the phone? You too should be careful and listen to your parents and use it in moderation. O.k.

John Tucker used to write letters to his sister. When he wrote like that, he wrote a letter saying that in India, girls never go to school, they get married off at a young age, and they think that girls' education is a disgrace to the family. After reading his brother's letter, Sarah Tucker went to her room and cried and prayed. "I want to go to India and teach girls, but I am disabled," she thought to herself. She sold her jewellery and turned it into money, talked to her relatives and asked them to help. She refused gifts to those who gave her gifts for her birthday and accepted money. She sent the entire money to her brother and asked him to use it to start a school for girls in the Palayankottai area. The school was later built into a college, which is still in existence today as the Sarah Tucker College in Palayamkottai.

My dear children, Sarah Tucker is a woman of achievement who never gave up on her shortcomings and continued to achieve. Do you want to shine like Sarah? Forget your shortcomings and do good to others. You will surely become a shining star.
