Endure hardship

"You therefore must endure[a] hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ" - 2 Timothy 2:3

Gatwick is an American swimmer. He wanted to set a world record and planned to swim 34 kilometres in the sea. His goal was to cross the Pacific Ocean from Catanina Island to Southern California. This area is very dangerous because it is an area with sharks, high waves in the sea, weather conditions are always foggy and the water is cold. After knowing all the challenges he bravely agreed to swim across that part of the ocean. He had trained hard for this. So the competition was a source of joy for him. After a long, long journey, did he could not reach the shore? He got tired of looking at it with longing. The mental exhaustion also exhausted the body. Due to this he could not cope with the cold and the fog covered his eyes. He asked him to lift himself up as he didn't know how much further. His coach encouraged him that you can do it. He got nervous and told him to lift him immediately, thinking that if he stays in the sea for a few more hours, something bad will happen. They lifted him up and showed the floor. It was seen that after a few minutes he would be able to reach the shore. He was in great pain. Gadwick's actions are like the saying, "What is out of reach is out of reach".

Today we too are fighting the good fight. A crown of righteousness is reserved for us. We tire of the struggle as those who have forgotten the crown, and end the good fight of the spiritual life half-way.

The prayer life, the reading of the scriptures, the witnessing life all become relaxed and the struggle ceases. We are forced into a miserable situation.

God child! Don't get discouraged by the struggles of life. God who called you is able to bring you to the shore of eternal life. So let us run patiently in the race appointed for us by trusting in the Lord and win. Victory is guaranteed!
