Do you want happiness?

"…My heart rejoices in the Lord;…" - 1 Samuel 2:1

There was a rich man in America. But he had many troubles and many inner turmoil, finally the fear of death consumed him. He could not enjoy the wealth he had earned. One day he saw an minister and asked what was the secret of your happiness. The minister took him lovingly to the cross. He repented and received the forgiveness of sins and the joy of salvation. It felt like everything in the world had changed.

There are three types of happiness in this world. The first is the inner joy of success in worldly affairs. It is natural and common. Second, the joy that Satan brings is the joy of sin. That is not true happiness. Not the eternal bliss. In the end it will cast us into Hell, into the lake of fire, and cause us to lose eternal life. Third is the joy that comes from God. The world cannot give or take away. The joy of salvation comes when our sins are forgiven. Heavenly joy comes into us when we praise and worship God. The main joy that Jesus Christ gives is the joy of salvation. He has forgiven all my sins. He accepted me as his child. Great joy fills our hearts when we think that He dwells in my heart. Being saved we receive the Spirit of Son ship as God's children who call him Abba Father. We enjoy all the freedoms He gives us. Our name is written in the book of life in heaven. The Lord gives new life. In today's scripture passage we read about Zacchaeus. When Jesus said, "Zacchaeus, come down quickly, today I must stay at your house", Zacchaeus came down quickly and happily took Jesus away. We read (Luke 19:6) that Zacchaeus was changed. Salvation came to his house.

Beloved! Living in today's civilized and technological world, we are running somewhere in search of happiness, peace and relief. Come to Jesus who can freely give you joy and peace. He is ready to fill your heart and home with joy and peace. Commit your life to Him.
