Born to win

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" - Romans 8:37

A great general planned to conquer an island near his country. Only one bridge connected island with his own country. One day and night he ordered his soldiers to reach island through the bridge. They also went to island. The commander ordered his soldiers to raze the entire bridge. When the soldiers were stunned, a soldier stood up and said, "There is no other way for us to escape except this one bridge. How can we escape if we destroy this too?" He asked. The leader replied, “We have not come to escape; We have come to win," he said. The bridge was destroyed, and victory was achieved. The bridge was rebuilt as the Victory Bridge.

Children of God who are reading this, when you start doing something, don't think negatively that if it doesn't happen, if it doesn't work, if it doesn't work out. When we think like that, we will not get success in what we have done. According to the verse "I have strength to do all things through Christ who strengthens me" we should instil faith deep in our hearts.

We must never look back in our Christian journey towards salvation. We can see in the scriptures that the multitude of witnesses, like a cloud, ran their course of faith. In Hebrews 11: 15, 16, our forefathers did not want to return to the country they had left, but in the midst of struggles, and problems, they loved heaven and got a good testimony from God.

When Elijah called Elisha, Elisha came after destroying his plough and oxen. He may have done this so that his mind would not go back to the old work he had done. The Lord Jesus also said that "no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is worthy of the kingdom of God." In today's scripture, Jesus Christ, who loves us, makes us completely overcomers. So don't get tired, don't turn back, let's run towards our goal and win!
