God's grace

"Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not" - Lamentations 3:22

We are tasting God's grace every day. His hand protects and covers us. His wings are our refuge. " Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain." (Psalm 127:1) How true the word is!

Last year there was a heavy flood in December, and it caused a lot of damage. Our town, Tirunelveli, was also facing a lot of destruction. Many lost their possessions. My daughter's family was also one of the victims. I went to my daughter's house happily after attending the Christmas service at the church on Sunday. The rain was pouring down. As the area where her house was located was low-lying, the rainwater pooled and flowed like a river. She was running the hostel in which 25 people were accommodated. The young and old, went upstairs when the house was flooded. The waist-deep water rose up to neck level. We informed the fire department, and they came to the place in harmony and after a three hour struggle we reached my house safely. We were supported by a medical friend with food and clothing.

Like the lyrics of the song "Though the floods roll and crash, the steadfastness of the heart does not waver". He who said I will be with you when you cross the water is still with us.

My beloved ones! When we see the losses of the devotee Job in the scriptures, we think that our losses are few, and we thank Jesus from the bottom of our hearts for saving our lives. Yes, it is the grace of the Lord that we are not destroyed." His mercies are unending. Just as we cried out to the Lord in our time of danger and were delivered and saved by Him, you too will be delivered.
