“...You Are the God Who Sees...” - Genesis 16:13

In today's situation where crimes have increased, surveillance cameras have become very necessary. Surveillance cameras are installed and monitored in crowded places like airports, railway and bus stations, hospitals, shopping malls, streets, roads and even homes. Based on the incidents, necessary actions can be taken and resolved easily. Every day many incidents are used as key witnesses for police action. Our Lord Jesus Christ once observed the people putting their offerings in the offering box. Seeing the offering of a poor widow more than the rich, he appreciates her offering to God knowing her sincerity, enthusiasm, truth and willingness. In the Old Testament, Hagar, Abraham's concubine, fled into the wilderness because of the cruelty caused by her mistress, Sarah, when she became pregnant. God hears her cries, sees her tears, and speaks to her. She named the Lord who spoke to her as "God who sees me" and obeyed his word and went to her mistress.

God gave me an opportunity to study in Home Science College in 1978 when I was working in TELC hostel after completing PUC. During my first year, the principal of the college called me forward in a public meeting and asked everyone to clap for me. As our principal who stayed on the third floor was watching me from above, noticed me picking up even the smallest garbage in the college campus immediately and putting it in the dustbin. The prayer cell I ran in the evening was also noticed by him. He praised some of my activities I did while staying in the hostel and studied. That night I wrote in my diary, "My God you are watching me every second , help me throughout my life to please not only men but you as well." Now I am 71 years old. I still try it to this day, sometimes I fail and ask for forgiveness and commit to God to fix me. Yes, the camera watching over us is God's eyes! 

Teach me to do what pleases You. You are my God and let your good spirit guide me in the righteous path! Amen.
