Contentment

"Now godliness with contentment is great gain" - 1 Timothy 6:6

There was a greedy puppy. It had a tendency to think that everything is for him. One day it was hungry. Ran in search and of food. No food was found. An idea appeared. Went to the shopping street saying that if I go to the shopping street, I will get something. He was very happy to see a mutton shop there. Thinking that a small piece of bone would be enough, the puppy was overjoyed to see a large piece of bone lying down there, saying that it had enough food for two days, took it and went to a riverbank. Then looked at the river. A similar figure was found with a large piece of bone in its mouth. This puppy looked at the water furiously, thinking that if we chased the dog away, we would get that bone too. It barked and the bone fell. The piece of bone in the mouth had fallen into the river below. After some time, he realized that it was his image and not a real dog.

The apostle Paul writes to Timothy. That godliness with contentment is the greatest gain! Some people are never satisfied with anything. Some run on and on and end up losing everything. He also mentions that if we have enough to eat and clothe, it will be enough. He has also written that he has learned to live a contented life and be content with everything.

Beloved reading this! As followers of the Lord, we must learn to live with peace in all circumstances. There is a proverb in Tamil that says, "The greedy man reaches for more but spills what he has.". God does not allow insufficiency to the children who follow Him faithfully. Those who seek the Lord will not lack. So, when we have food, clothing and shelter, we consider them enough. If God has blessed us, we will use these to help the ministries and those who do not have them. This is also true devotion. Let's make many people own heaven with what we have.
