Faith

"…having faith and a good conscience" - 1 Timothy 1:18

Ramu and his mother were getting ready to go to the church. His father, who is a Christian by name, does not come to church. His only job was to drop both of them in the church on his two-wheeler. On the that day, he took both of them to the church. Then the preacher said that if you have faith like a mustard seed, even if you look at a mountain and say move, it will be done. Then he went home. At night he knelt down and prayed. Ramu and Mother were surprised to see this. His request was that the big stone in his garden should disappear. Everyone slept at night. The next morning he ran and looked at the garden. The big stone was there. Ram's father immediately said, "I knew then that the stone would not disappear!"

A similar incident is recorded in the Scriptures. A man came to Jesus' disciples for healing of his son. Jesus' disciples could not comfort the son. They brought the son to Jesus. Then Jesus rebuked the devil in him. Immediately it left him. At that moment the young man was freed. When the disciples came to Jesus alone and asked why we could not do that, Jesus said that it is because of your unbelief, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed it would have gone.

Beloved! Faith is as thin as mustard. But should be completely. We also need absolute faith. Prayers that are prayed with faith in Jesus are sure to be answered. Jesus has all kinds of comfort and benefits. We have to get what we need from Jesus by faith. The scriptures say that our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. Our faith is higher than gold and silver. Faithlessness is displeasing to God. Let us pray to God to increase our faith every day. We too will have faith in Christ and hold on to Him and gain victory. Amen!
