Dedication

“…Our sister (brother), may you become the mother of thousands of ten thousand…” - Genesis 24:60  

One missionary went to the house of a believer for a meeting. Those family members welcomed him and make him sit. One young daughter in that house prepared tea for him and brought to him. After receiving the tea, that missionary asked her, “Why don’t you dedicate yourself to the Ministry?”. That youngster was shocked and replied, “Sir! I am now a youngster. I am studying in a college. Next, there will be my marriage, family and my future…” she spoke one by one and then said “I will do the possible ministry after my age of 60 years.” After having half of the tea, he gave the cup to her and told with smile, “You drink this remaining tea.” That young lady got angry. Her family members also look each other without understanding. 

That missionary continued with smile, “You got angry when I gave the remaining tea to you. You also said that you would spend your main part of the life for yourself and would give the remaining part only to the Lord who created you.” Hearing this, that young lady thought about this. Within few days, she dedicated her life to the Lord.

Like this, in Bible also, one woman, by dedicating herself, got more blessings. When the elder servant of rich Abraham, searched a bride for the son of his master, he asked identification from the Lord. As per that identification, when Rebekah came to take water, he asked for water. Rebekah did not say any objection and she provided water to him and to his10 camels also. Further, she introduced that servant to her family members; with full consent of her family members, she dedicated herself to an unknown bridegroom and she continued her journey with that servant. She got a satisfactory life. 

My dear brother and sister, who is reading this! Did you dedicate your life to the will of God? Or will you give only the remaining part of your life, after spending the main life as per your wish? When we dedicate ourselves fully to our Lord, our life will be blessed. Also, it will be useful to others also.
