Let us get back our loss

“So, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locusts has eaten…” - Joel 2:25

We all had lost many things for the for the past few months of this year. The impact of the second wave of covid-19 is terrible. It had led to a dramatic loss of our family members, relatives and friends. It has impacts on our general health and energy. Many people were deprived of their livelihood. Multitude of employees were sacked from their jobs. Daily wagers, workers, the self-employed and the small-scale industrialists were the most affected. People are struggling hard to make a living without income. On the whole we lost our peace and joy. We, who are surviving amidst such losses and awaiting a new dawn are made happy by the promising word of God. God promises to restore everything we had missed. 

So, we need not go weary or get dismayed. We have to hold on to the promises of the Lord. He who has promised will surely keep His promise. He never fails or changes. We are going to make good the monetary loss and will get double. We will regain our health. How are we going to restore everything? It is possible if we have faith in the word of God. 

Dear readers, what were the things that were eaten and destroyed by coronavirus in our lives? Was that the loss in health and business? Or was that the loss of dear ones and peace? We can trust in God and let the Lord hold our hands and if we cling on to God’s promise, then we can recover the things lost. God will restore what was eaten up by locusts. Take heart. There is hope. Let us pray earnestly and get back everything according to His promise. Let us give glory to His mighty name.
