Worry is not necessary

"Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his life?" - Matthew 6:27

A boy named Mani was playing with his friends. Then he caught a snake that was crawling on the ground as a game. The snake tightly wrapped itself around Mani's hand and hissed, showing its poisonous teeth. The other children present were running around screaming not knowing what to do. If Mani let go of his grip, the snake would definitely bite him. In fear, Mani held the snake even tighter. Thinking of his pitiful condition, he cried out. He cried and cried until he was exhausted. Then an old man came along that way. Hearing Mani's scream, he turned around and saw him and the snake in his hand, and understood what had happened. The old man, laughing, told Mani, who was crying in fear, to put down the dead snake he had been holding in his hand for so long. Mani only then noticed that the snake had already died in his tight grip.

Yes, dear ones! Even today, many people are crying and lamenting in fear, unable to let go of the dead snake called worry. Nothing will change because of worrying. Worrying will not allow us to achieve anything in our lives. Like a reservoir, worry will keep us stagnant. In this way, another verse in the Bible encourages us. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Therefore, let us cast all our worries and burdens on Jesus and try to live without worries.

In the New Testament, Jesus says this in the Sermon on the Mount. We should not worry about anything. We are more valuable than birds. He is able to feed the birds. We should stop worrying about worldly blessings and seek His kingdom. We need to have faith that the One who created us will do everything for us.
