Ostrich

"God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding" - Job 39:17

These ostriches, also known as ostriches, are found in abundance in the African continent, Arabian countries, and the southeastern deserts of Syria. They are the tallest bird in the world, growing up to 2.5 meters tall. Their wingspan is six feet! Their legs are very strong. They can run at a speed of 70 kilometres per hour. Their legs are strong enough to kill a man with a single kick. Their talons are very strong. When they see their enemies, they bury their heads in the ground. Their bodies are visible outside. Hunters can easily hunt them down. Because their brains are very small. The Bible also says that God has taken away wisdom. They stir up the sand and lay their eggs. Since they lay their eggs on the ground, they are trampled and broken by wild animals. Even if someone kills or their chicks die it does not bother. What is God telling us through the ostrich with such a characteristic?

What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul? Many times, people work hard to earn money and elevate their status. But they do not care about the family that God has given them, do not give them time, do not inquire about the relationships that God has given them, and we can say much more. This world celebrates those who have money. People run after those who are in power in society. But Jesus Christ wants to give happiness and peace for free,but does not want to receive it. What foolishness! The ostrich is big but acts without wisdom.

Beloved! If we are not concerned about our own family, not concerned about the paths of our children, not concerned about their souls, then we are like this ostrich! Let us ask God for wisdom to lead the family that God has given us, without looking at the things that seem great in the eyes of the world, such as money, name, fame, and status. Amen.
