Pig

"Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth" - Colossians 3:2

The pig is an impure animal. It does not chew. It eats both clean and unclean things in its path. This reflects both the petty sins and the grave sins. The pig cannot look up. It only moves with its head down

A sinful heart will accept everything unclean. Our body is the temple of God. We defile it with bad habits such as smoking and using drugs. The sins we commit enslave us. A glutton is an abomination in the sight of God. We eat to live. We do not live to eat. Hunger is satisfied by eating. Deuteronomy 21:18- 21 A glutton and a drunkard must be stoned. A glutton is a slave to the lust of the flesh. In the Bible, Daniel determined in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king's food or the wine he drank, so when he had the opportunity to eat it, he refused it and decided to eat vegetables such as lentils and water to drink. Therefore, they received royal honour and stood before the king. Ephesians 5:18, 19 says, "Do not get drunk with wine, which leads to wickedness”. Praise the Lord with songs and make your heart overflow with joy. Therefore, let us sing and make melody to the Lord."

Matthew 7:6 says, “Do not cast your pearls before swine.” That is, do not throw something of value before swine, who do not know its value. All they know is filth. The Bible also warns that a beautiful woman who walks foolishly is like a gold nose ring in the snout of a swine. Even if a woman is beautiful, if she walks and speaks foolishly and her life is chaotic, even if she shines like gold in beauty, her place and way of life are not worthy of respect and are in vain. God warns us through the swine. What does our heart desire? Higher things? Or lower things? Do we give place to gluttony? Are we living like foolish women? Let us think. My beloved! Seek not the things that are on earth, but the things that are above. Let us not be entangled in the sins of the world and the flesh but look to our Savior.
