Foxes

"Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines.." - Song of Solomon 2:15

The foxes and the little foxes will enter the vineyard and destroy the flowers and the buds. These will completely ruin the yield of the grapes. The personal life of every believer, family, and church is a vineyard. The owner of this is Jesus Christ. He expects each one to bear the fruits that are appropriate to Him. Foxes such as small mistakes, errors, pride, jealousy, anger, and little foolishness found in the life of an individual, family, or church will cause big problems and confusion. It also breaks the relationship with God. The spiritual life that was once a flower and a bud will not bear fruit. An unfruitful life corrupts the Christian community and destroys the witness.

Believers should not act like foxes, which Satan uses to create divisions, stumbling blocks, and strife in churches and ministries. This will affect the harvest of souls and the growth of the church. Foxes cannot be tamed because they are cunning, stealing, and disobedient. They kill and eat other living things. King Herod had the following traits: stealing (his brother’s wife), disobedience (to the advice of John the Baptist), and murder. That is why Jesus called him a fox. One cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven with such fox traits. “Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer” (1 John 3:15).

“If a sleeping man twists a rope around his thigh, the fox will not sleep and will roam around” are the lyrics of a Tamil song. Therefore, beloved, we must identify and catch the little foxes who spoil our lives and prevent us from inheriting the kingdom of heaven. The only way the Bible shows this is to pray without ceasing, to stay awake and pray. Will we obey? May the Lord bless you!
