Camel

"The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come;..." - Isaiah 60:6

The camel, known as the ship of the desert, has strong, wide feet that can walk on hot sand. God has created it to withstand the harsh conditions of the desert. On days when it does not get food, all the fat on its back melts and gives the camel strength. It can drink 100 litres of water in 10 minutes where water is available. It can drink eight days' worth of water in a single day. It has special protective pads that prevent its eyes and nostrils from being affected by the hurricane winds blowing in the desert. Today we are going to look at one of the most special things about the camel.

A camel, when lying on the sand or rising from the ground, will only stand on its knees after resting on them before reaching the next position. Due to the excessive use of its knees and bearing the weight of its body, its knees become thick and look a little awkward. There is a person with similar knees. History says that he is the "camel-knee prayer warrior." He is Jacob. The prayer life of Jacob, the brother and apostle of Jesus Christ, is known by his knees. As he prayed on his knees, his knees would become rough and calloused like the hard outer skin of a camel, making them look more awkward than they actually are. What does this teach us? What is our knee experience and prayer time like?

These days, many Christians live in a state of prayerlessness. Without the desire to pray, or the desire to set aside time for prayer, they are content to send their prayer notes to their ministers. Today, through the camel, God is calling us to think about our prayer life.

Those who kneel before God will stand with their heads held high before man. Are you a person who kneels before God? Think!!
